Football Clubs
ALTWAY VALENTINE FOOTBALL CLUB
A local open age football team playing on Harrow Drive Playing Field. 'The Valley' has been running since 1993 when it was formed in the Ormskirk & District League Div III. Three seasons later, after winning the second division title, was promoted to Division I. That season was a successful one as we won the Divisional Cup & runners up in both League & League Cup. A couple of trophyless years followed until as recently as Tuesday 27th April 1999, when we lifted the League Cup defeating league winners 'Plan-It' 2-1. We train at Kirkby Stadium every Monday between 6.00pm-7.00pm all are very welcome. Any players wishing to join us please telephone Pat Carden on 0151 474 6639.
